UAV/Drone Technician
We are looking for a UAV Technician to help with mechanical and electronics assembly of in-house designed UAV and sub-systems.
Essential skills and experience
You will have the following skills and experience:
• Experience working in a lab/workshop environment
• Ability to understand mechanical drawings
• Mechanical assembly
• Ability to assemble, tune and test UAVs or parts of
• Remote controller programming
• GVC holder or experience in aeromodelling or drone racing
• Ability to use a wide variety of hand and power tools
• Knowledge of and experience with manufacturing processes
• Electronics assembly with clean soldering skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability with spreadsheets and general computer skills for record keeping etc.
• Attention to detail
• Ability to write and improve Risk Assessments and Working Instructions related to your expertise
• Responsibility for your own and others Heath, Safety and Welfare
Desirable skills and experience
You will ideally also have the following skills and experience:
• CAD/CAM (SolidWorks or BobCAD)
• Machining including CNC
• 3D printing
• Degree or equivalent level qualification in science/related subject preferred but not essential
You will also
• Be a self-starter, with minimal oversight needed to complete assignments
• Be able to deliver on time to a high standard
• Be a genuine problem solver with a hands-on and can-do attitude
• Be able to get along with co-workers and work in a tidy, logical and efficient manner as a team and as an individual
• Have a passion for drones, engineering and technology

Composites Technician / Graduate Engineer

We are looking for a Composites Technician/ Graduate Engineer who can make high-quality composite parts to help with the production, development and assembly of in-house designed UAV and sub-systems.
Essential skills and experience
You will have the following skills and experience:
• Experience working in a lab/workshop environment
• A good understanding of composite manufacturing - including pre-preg and hand layup techniques
• An understanding of composite surface finishing to a high standard
• Understanding of surface preparation and adhesive bonding
• Ability to use a wide variety of hand and power tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability with spreadsheets and general computer skills for record keeping etc.
• Attention to detail
• Ability to write and improve Risk Assessments and Working Instructions related to your expertise
• Responsibility for your own and others Heath, Safety and Welfare
